Honk the Ahooga Horn
Welcome!
The Model A Ford is a historic part of the development of the American motor car and of the American heritage. Nearly five million Model A Fords were built in just four years, from 1928 to 1931. The Central Iowa Model A Ford Club, founded in 1961, is dedicated to the restoration and driving of Ford Model A's.
Don't worry, you don't have to own a Model A to be a member.
With over 100 members in the Central Iowa Model A Ford Club, you're sure to find like-minded individuals who share your passion for vintage automobiles. Our club is the perfect place to meet new friends, hone some skills and share your love of classic cars.
There are usually events every month, along with a summer tour schedule of one or two day fun rides. Our best known event is the Great Annual Model A Ride Around Iowa. This tour is typically a 5 day, 500 mile tour, held every September, with each year highlighting a different area of Iowa. What a great way to experience our beautiful State!
Family of the Month:
Stephen & Sarah McCowen

New members in 2025, Stephen and Sarah live in Ankeny and bring a lot of enthusiasm to the club. They own a 1931 Standard Coupe Model A and a 1949 International KB-3.
Stephen drove the coupe to the Good Guys show at the Iowa State Fairgrounds over the 4th of July weekend. Pictured above, the family enjoying the club picnic at Saylorville, and also their son is getting familiar with the underside of the coupe — hands-on from the start!
We're excited to have the McCowens as part of the CIMAFC family!
